We make digital devices affordable — removing the barrier that keeps billions offline.

- THE PROBLEM

The hardware paywall is holding billions back.

Woman Farming Outdoors
96% of the world lives within mobile broadband coverage. Yet 3.4 billion people remain offline. In Sub-Saharan Africa, only one in four people uses mobile internet. The constraint is affordability. For millions of households, even an entry-level smartphone represents a third of annual income.

Hagush changes that equation.

The key barrier is no longer connectivity. It's the cost of a device.

A budget smartphone can cost as little as $50 — but for hundreds of millions of people across Sub-Saharan Africa, with financing, that can easily amount to a third of the average person’s annual income. The math makes opting out entirely sensible.

A Digital World for All

Pay Later is our solution to democratize digital devices access in the global South.

We are combining asset financing and supply chain optimization to make digital devices more affordable, enabling more people to get online.

Pay Later is enabling the impact of local tech startups and advancing SGD 1 (No Poverty), SDG 2 (Zero Hunger), SGD 4 (Quality Education), SGD 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) and SGD 13 (Climate Action).

The

Challenge

Money. Money. Money.

In today's world, digital devices are everyday tools—integral to communication, learning, and economic opportunity. Yet, every day, the global economy fails around a third of the world’s population who lack access to digital technologies and cannot fully participate in an increasingly digital society.

In Sub-Saharan Africa alone, around 60% of the population does not use mobile internet despite having coverage, and a key barrier is smartphone affordability which can cost up to a third to half of the average person's income.

Ongoing Projects

We work in partnership with local tech startups, community organizations, and governments to bring Pay Later to different communities in Africa.

HagushXFarmIT

We're financing smartphones for smallholders farmers in Kenya in partnership with FarmIT, an agri-tech startup.

FarmIT's technology leverages earth observation tools to aid farmers in making optimal decisions at critical stages of the crop production cycle, resulting in higher agricultural yield, lower fertilizer needs, and higher income.

"I can't express enough gratitude to Hugush for their outstanding service. Ordering a laptop from Uganda to support my education and work was made incredibly easy thanks to their exceptional communication and cooperation. Buying a laptop in today's market from Africa can be challenging, both financially and in terms of finding a genuine product. Hagush exceeded my expectations. The laptop arrived in perfect condition—brand new, original, and exactly as advertised. Thank you, Hagush, for making this process so smooth and stress-free."
